Unique Tile Application

I really love this tile application in horizontal stripes.  I’ve never seen this before and I like it for a few reasons.  First, it’s sure to save money if you’re using a more expensive tile and secondly, it’s just interesting to look at and very unexpected to see stripes of tile like this with drywall in between.  It adds a lot of visual texture to the room as well.

So what do you guys think?  Could you get on board with this type of tile application?
